By accessing or using the Site, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Site.

2. Eligibility and Acceptable Use
You may use the Site only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to:
- Use the Site in any way that violates applicable federal, Minnesota, or local law.
- Submit false, misleading, defamatory, obscene, infringing, or unlawful content.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Site, other accounts, or related systems.
- Interfere with or disrupt the Site, including by introducing malware or overloading servers.
- Scrape, harvest, or commercially republish Site content without our prior written permission, except for ordinary viewing or sharing of publicly posted event or directory information.
- Impersonate the Chamber, a member, or any other person or organization.
- Use the Site to send spam or unsolicited advertising.
We may suspend or block access to the Site at any time if we believe these Terms have been violated or if needed to protect the Chamber, members, or the public.
3. Informational Content Only
Content on the Site—including event descriptions, dates, business listings, visitor information, maps, and community resources—is provided for general informational purposes. Listings and calendar items may be supplied by members, partners, or third parties and can change without notice.
The Chamber does not guarantee that any listing, event, hours, price, availability, or description is complete, current, or error-free. Always confirm details directly with the business, event organizer, or the Chamber office before traveling or making plans.
Nothing on the Site is legal, tax, financial, or professional advice, and no content creates a professional-client relationship.
4. Membership
Chamber membership is a separate relationship governed by the Chamber’s membership materials, dues schedule, and policies then in effect. Completing a membership form, paying dues, or appearing in the directory does not transfer any ownership interest in the Chamber or the Site.
Member benefits described on the Site—such as directory listings, Visitor’s Guide inclusion, event listings, or social media highlights—are offered as available and may change. Print deadlines, space limits, and operational needs may affect timing or inclusion.
You are responsible for the accuracy of information you submit for membership, directory, advertising, and event listings. The Chamber may edit listings for length, clarity, or appropriateness, and may decline or remove content that it reasonably believes is inaccurate, misleading, offensive, or inconsistent with the Chamber’s mission.
5. User Submissions and License
If you submit information, photos, logos, event details, business descriptions, or other content to the Chamber or the Site (“Submissions”), you represent that you have the right to provide that content and that it does not infringe anyone else’s rights.
You grant the Chamber a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, reproduce, display, distribute, and adapt your Submissions for Chamber purposes, including the Site, Visitor’s Guide, social media, press, and community promotion. This license continues for as long as the Chamber reasonably needs the content for those purposes, including previously printed or archived materials.
6. Intellectual Property
The Site and its original content, features, design, and compilation are owned by the Chamber or its licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. The Chamber name, logo, and event names (including Back to Hack, Sweetheart Days, and the Chainsaw Event, as used by the Chamber) may not be used without prior written permission, except for ordinary factual reference.
You may view and print limited portions of the Site for personal, non-commercial use. You may not copy, modify, or commercially exploit Site content except as expressly allowed in these Terms or with our written consent.
7. Third-Party Links, Tools, and Social Media
The Site may link to third-party websites and tools, including city sites, maps, Facebook, Google documents or forms, Explore Minnesota, and other partner resources. Those services are not controlled by the Chamber. Your use of them is subject to their own terms and privacy policies. The Chamber is not responsible for third-party content, availability, or practices.
8. Events and Visitor Information
Community and Chamber events may be weather-dependent, postponed, or canceled. Participation in events, visits to local businesses, and use of trails, lakes, and recreation areas are at your own risk. The Chamber does not control third-party venues, vendors, or activities and is not liable for injuries, losses, or disputes arising from events or businesses featured on the Site, except to the extent required by law.
9. Contact Forms and Communications
When you submit a form or email us, you agree that we may use the information you provide to respond and to operate Chamber programs, as described in our Privacy Policy. You agree not to use forms to submit unlawful, harmful, or infringing content.
10. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SITE AND ALL CONTENT ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE CHAMBER DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SITE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF HARMFUL COMPONENTS, OR THAT CONTENT WILL BE ACCURATE OR COMPLETE.
11. Limitation of Liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE CHAMBER AND ITS DIRECTORS, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, VOLUNTEERS, AND AGENTS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, OR BUSINESS OPPORTUNITY, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SITE OR RELIANCE ON SITE CONTENT.
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE CHAMBER’S TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SITE OR THESE TERMS WILL NOT EXCEED ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($100).
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations. In those cases, the limitation applies to the maximum extent permitted.
12. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless the Chamber and its directors, officers, employees, volunteers, and agents from and against claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of your use of the Site, your Submissions, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.
13. Changes to the Site and These Terms
We may update the Site and these Terms at any time. The updated Terms will be posted on this page with a new effective date. Your continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
14. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Minnesota, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. You agree that any dispute arising out of or relating to the Site or these Terms will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Minnesota, and you consent to personal jurisdiction in those courts.
15. Miscellaneous
If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in effect. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any additional terms that apply to a specific program or membership, are the entire agreement between you and the Chamber regarding the Site. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms without our consent.
